The Healer – Monique Wilson

monique-wilsonMy name is Monique Wilson. I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, a Certified Aromatherapist, a Traditional Healer and Shamanic Practitioner. I am also a Reiki Master, and Energy Healer. I am trained in Bereavement Support, and I volunteer in Hospice. I continue to upgrade my formal education, and take courses to enhance my informal knowledge and skills. I work with Traditional, and non-Traditional Teachers, and Elders.

My education in Clinical Hypnotherapy is clinical and formal. I was educated at the Pacific Institute of Advanced Hypnotherapy. This curriculum is recognized by the medical faculty at the University of Alberta, and has been adopted as an elective for medical students. To research this school further just click on I am pleased with the training that I have received. And I amazed at the success that my clients have created for themselves.

My ancestry is Irish, French, Haudenosaunee (Iroquois/Mohawk) and Cree. I have a strong connection to my Ancestors, and I am able to integrate Indigenous knowledge and Teachings into my healing practice. In many Indigenous Traditions to Turtle Island, there are four levels of balance to maintain to create strong health. These four points are the Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual.

The belief of living in balance with nature is one that my Ancestors have carried for thousands of years. They may not have used the same language, had the same tools in order to do this healing work. But, they certainly believed that good strong health is holistic in nature. In fact, Ancient and Indigenous cultures around the world believed in living in balance with nature…this was considered the only way.

I decided to train in different methods of healing because I personally believe, just as my Ancestors did, that strong health is holistic. That holistic health means living in balance, with nature, and within our own cycles of life. Because our cycles are different from one another, holistic health will look differently to each one of us, according to our own personal beliefs, according to our nature.

It is interesting to note that the medical community is discovering that many diseases and chronic conditions have an emotional component to them. Many professionals also believe that our mental health and thought processes also affect our physical health in a powerful way. There are also healthcare professionals that recognize the strength that lies behind faith, and spiritual belief.

I am aware that some are not interested in this approach to healthcare, and I respect this. I offer effective, therapeutic service, without spiritual content. Ultimately, what is most important is how comfortable or confident you feel about your therapist. A consultation can help determine whether or not I am the most helpful therapist for you.

The heading, Healing Tools, will briefly describe to you the particular approach and service that I provide. It begins with Clinical Hypnotherapy and moves through the other healing methods I utilize in my healing practice.
